Services
As a Naturopathic Doctor, I provide health care using a holistic perspective, respectful conversations and medical evaluations, and treatments that abide by naturopathic philosophy. The HEALTH ASSESSMENT includes a thorough health history and indicated physical exam and lab tests. This may involve blood pressure checks, throat cultures, urinalysis, pelvic exams and pap tests, and blood draws.
Nutrition and good digestion are fundamental to good health, provide the raw materials with which we constantly re-create ourselves. 70% of our immune system resides in the gut! The micro-organisms that live there play huge roles in our moods and metabolic rate, as well. Supporting the liver and other detoxification pathways is crucial when addressing toxin exposure, poor food choices, and imbalanced hormone levels, which can manifest in a wide array of symptoms. Natural approaches can help patients deal with frequent infections, allergies, and autoimmune disorders with far less potential for adverse reactions than many pharmaceutical alternatives. Hormones have a huge impact on all functions of the body, including the rate at which we burn calories, our muscle to fat ratio, mental function, emotional tenor, ability to heal, quality of sleep, and more. Examples of hormone imbalances commonly addressed include hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism, stress & adrenal fatigue, blood sugar regulation and Type 2 diabetes, menopause, and PMS.
